Alleged Wimbledon ticket touting case reaches Court of Appeal
Dr Anton van Dellen represented Mr Luke McKay in the High Court, who had been accused of touting tickets for Wimbledon. They opposed the lifting of the suspension of his 6-month prison sentence for contempt of court for failing to disclose the source of Wimbledon tickets after submitting that Mr McKay was entitled to privilege against self-incrimination. The High Court Judge, Mr Justice Nichol, lifted the suspension but ordered that imprisonment be stayed pending an appeal to the Court of Appeal. The appeal was issued shortly before Judgment was handed down.
