Dr Anton van Dellen had the privilege of taking Sergeant Matt Ratana through his Examination-in-Chief in Court in 2013.
Sergeant’s Ratana’s evidence concerned a sweep through an estate looking for knives in the course of which a large knife was found during a search of an individual. Before his evidence in Court, Sergeant Ratana was very friendly and courteous when he introduced himself. In Court, Sergeant Ratana was very professional and carried himself with great presence. Condolences to his partner, son, all of Sergeant’s Ratana’s whanau and his colleagues.
