Dr Anton van Dellen represented the husband of a wife who died following a Sub-Arachnoid Haemorrhage at a young age.
At a hearing before Mrs Justice Whipple in the High Court, Anton submitted that the Coroner had unlawfully failed to record how the deceased came by her death in box 3 of the Record of Inquest. Anton also submitted that the Coroner had incorrectly instructed an expert witness who had less expertise than the surgeons about whom he was commenting. The proceedings are currently being appealed to the Court of Appeal.
